Sizing guide
Most wall art fails for one reason: it is too small for the wall. Two rules fix that. Both are what galleries use.
1. The two-thirds rule
Whatever hangs above furniture should span about two thirds of that furniture's width. Not half. Not the full width.
Measure the sofa, multiply by 0.67 — that is the width to fill, with one piece or with several hung as one arrangement.

2. How high to hang it
The centre of the artwork sits 145 cm (57 in) from the floor. That is average eye level. It is lower than most people guess — hanging art too high is the common mistake.
Above a sofa, leave 20–25 cm (8–10 in) between the top of the sofa back and the bottom of the frame. If the two rules disagree, follow the sofa. Art belongs to the furniture under it.

Every size uses a standard framing ratio — buy the frame off the shelf. All prints are portrait. To fill 100–160 cm above a sofa, plan two, three or five. Two 20×30 in with 5 cm between them span about 107 cm. Three span about 163 cm.
Before you order
Mark the outline on the wall with masking tape and live with it for a day. It costs nothing and it settles the question.
A mount and frame add size — a 50×76 cm print becomes roughly 62×88 cm on the wall.
